| i did but most of us are under 18 so we cant drive the others with out our 21 year old advisor with us and kids parents aren't comftorable with the drive with out an adult either. So the only option is flying but we cant take the 120 as a carry on on a flight so we need to some how ship it on tuesday and have it be there when we get there on thursday, but we seem to arrive at 4 and ups says they can have it in the convention center by 5 but who know if we can even check in that late. i may just leave the 120 and come with my 15 by myself i think that way i dont have to shell out for shipping, i believe a 15 would be ok to bring but then again id need some sort of adult and i couldn't figure out if the rules say i can be there with anyone who is an adult or just ppl from my school. I'm asking nola as well, my team wants to come but there parents arent comftorable with them running around miami | |

| jeeves...not cheap, but we checked in a 110 pound bag when we went to moto....you would probably have to pay overweight AND oversize which could cost between $150 and $200
On another note, if you are using ANY lipos, they need to be ground shipped!!! Can't take them on a plane AT ALL
If you can get away with flying and need an adult down here to chaparone, let me know if you don't have good luck elsewhere.

| Just don't tell them you have lipos! what I meant by adoption was to get someone from down here to be your adult. how many people would come? I might be able to house you, probably up to 3-4. bring the 120! checkin will last until 10 on thursday, like it always does. | |

| haha will, did you read the link? lipos ARE allowed on planes. There's really no restriction. They limit you to 2 large spare packs, so put them IN the bot with one lead disconnected, and then keep 2 out. the other restriction is 100 wh. I can't imagine a battery with more than 100 wh, so that pretty much covers everything. You'll be fine with your batteries. | |

| I owe it all to will and his family after speaking with his father another teammate has agreed to come. and we will be there with 2 15's and possibly a 120 depending on shipping with fedex. but wills dad says we actually have to have somewhat decent documentation OH MY!!! | |

| PLUM 1-2-3
Did you expect anything else?
A new MANUFACTURED bot from Propel and good old EWCTC plus the regulars from Somerset, FAVTS and a few more.
Plum beat us in the Sweet 16.
They beat FAVTS in the sweet 16 and then they beat Belle Vernon?? and Steel Center in the sweet 16.
Then went on to beating Propel, and Somerset#2 else in the elite 8.
It was Plum 1-2, Somerset and EWCTC in the final four with PLUM advancing.
EWCTC broke their beater and wheel stand but they won the decision and moved on against Somerset in the Finals.
As far as high schools with bots made manually and student made, it was Us and United making it the farthest to the sweet 16.
Some really good battles with us and plum and EWCTC and Plum plus Somerset having some good ones also.
Losers brackets are tomorrow and it looks like there are a few that will climb and a few that will drop.
My Top 10 Maybe List:
Somerset#2 Belle Vernon Steel Center EWCTC Plum 2 Plum 3 FAVTS WM2 WM1 (maybe???? we had stupid problems in our mach) (if not us then United) Propel
I just love seeing bots that have all the holes perfect and sand blasted with all of the corners filed and flanging done. (High School builders are coming a long way) ;-)
It is what it is!
How many of them can tell me what up milling and down milling is and what feed rate 6061 is machined at?
Some good competition this year to say the least.
Marsh..... You might have only had 1 in the list that's how good they were this year...
A good showing to say the least.
Wish us luck against the master builders tomorrow!

| I'm guessing that was a mis-post; Plum isn't registered for the Bots IQ 2010 Miami event (according to buildersdb).
EDIT - never mind, saw the question above. (PA Updates)

| Kind of tired...long day in the 120's , i think mark divitz's bot (looks like k2) put another bot almost into a light fixture on the ceiling...thats all I got to see In the 15's. mlec's 5 bots are still in, 4 of 5 are undefeated....not sure who else is still in.....Sting wmd vs Fluffy 2 was ...kind of painful Might be some vid up on the tube soon...or so some have threatened ... Got to meet jeeves!!! edit: here's a link to some 15 pound action https://www.youtube.com/user/jcoello43#p/u/1/9Z86S4HIf_o | |

| You've got some videos with Woodynator 2 in there, and I'm amazed by how quiet it is - on the other hand, it seems that it's not very easy to drive. Something that only practice driving will solve, I'm guessing. | |
